PAD has been retained by the Royal Canadian Yacht Club for the ongoing planning and development for its historic Toronto Island Parkland site. The club, which is over 150 years old, has a rich history on the Toronto islands. PAD is planning and documenting all aspects of land and water space usage for the RCYC on the 17 acre site to ensure sustainable and environmentally appropriate development for the next 50 years on the island. The island(s) include about 40 built structures, some dating back to the 1800’s, a fully functional marine yard facility, a national team training center, about 400 docks, and a number of bridges.
